Blackie came into my life 7 years ago when I rescued him from a vet’s office when his previous owner just left him there. Blackie fit in with my golden retriever, Hope, and my life very well. It was like he was always a part of our lives. He came with many talents. One was which he would lay his paw on my lap so I would rub him or he would just want to shake my hand. He loved his "sister" Hope and would get bones out for her when she was afraid. He lived life with vigor and forgot his age for a while. He was so full of life and that was apparent when he wagged his tail and his whole back end would shake. He was the digger of holes—in the summer, to keep cool and in the winter, to keep warm. Once my boyfriend moved in, Blackie became his close buddy and sidekick when he was playing the xbox. Our small family of four is now three, but we know that Blackie is always with us. We love you and miss you, big guy!
