Princess came home with me on a late September morning in 1991. I wasn’t pet shopping, but I passed the store and saw her eyes staring at me with "The Look of Love", I knew she was meant to be with me. Princess was always the good cat, she was content to sit and look out the window or lie on my bed and just be "a Princess." I am part of a Pet Prayer line and every time I prayed for pets in need, I always knew that the day would come for My Princess to go to the Rainbow Bridge. I would stop and weep, but always had the comfort that she was still with me. Princess became ill in mid-October and when she barely ate or drank, I took her to the vet; after blood tests confirmed she had severe renal failure, the vet suggested I leave her with him. I couldn’t bear the thought of her spending her last days in a cage, so I took her home with me and nursed her myself. On the morning of Nov. 7, 2006, she looked into my eyes and told me that it was time. I went to Target, bought a pink baby blanket with "Little Princess" embroidered on it, wrapped her in it. called the vet to see if they would see her without waiting and they did. She was given an tranquilizer, and we were able to say our goodbyes; she went peacefully to sleep at 9:40 am PST on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, with my holding her little paw. I love you, Princess and always will. Beloved Princess Beloved Friend and Faithful Companion August 15, 1991 – November 7, 2006
