Thomas came to us as a stray,in the fall of 1998.HE refused to leave our steps wanting a warm and loving home so desperatly he meowed until we decided he could not be outside anymore.We fixed him up and got all his shots.HE was a shy boy at first,until he got to know your voice and gentleness then he'd come out of hiding.Tommy loved a good long cat naps on my lap with a comfy blankie.Tommy would always wait for me to wake up before leaving the bed to get his breakfast in the morning,or he'd wait by the food pantry at dinner time,waiting for his beloved friskies in a can.He was a very strong and courageous cat,he had cancer of the mouth,he had surgery on OCT 30th 2008 to remove the tumor from his mouth.HE did well with on going medicine that i'd give to him daily,7 months after surgery tommy showed signs of slowing down,and the cancer had spread.Thomas meant the world to me He will always be loved and REmembered as a loving gentle soul that one could only ask for,I remember when he would go out into the yard and did't come back right away,I would get worried and search for him and yelling his name to only in a short few minutes he would come running to me and walk back to the house slowly,I would never raise my voice to him for making me worried, instead i'd find his favorite treats and give him a hand full.When i would have good and bad days he was there with his soft fur and an ear to listen.Tommy loved getting a little holiday turkey treats as well, he knew their was left overs and didn't shy away from the refridgerator door for a taste late at night.Thomas liked to share a warm bed beside me and a good pillow to rest his head on,although he'd take over and hog the bed i never minded it at all.
