I found another one today-- A wiry, white hair on the floor, Evidence that you were here-- In my home, in my life. I know that there will be a time When we will no longer find Your paw prints in the mud Or your nose marks on the car window. But for now, I keep discovering Little signs that a dog lived here, A dog loved here, A dog was loved here. And although some day There may be none on the couch, There will always be Dog hairs on my heart.
