Miss Roxy Jean Wallis-Meeks 08/1990 to 01/02/2008 Miss Roxy...what a unique little dog and personality you were! People would stop us on our walk to ask what kind of dog you were. A min schnauzer with chihuahua. Very independent you were. My little lap dog who CHOSE when you would allow me to hold you in my lap. We had a rough start, after your abusive beginning, you were slow to trust. But, you chose me at the pound and my commitment was to make it work. You made me SO HAPPY the first time you crawled into my lap and laid down after two years together! You were fiesty and with your high pitch bark. Remember when you had to go live at Aunt Judy's when you were evicted from our apartment? I hated to leave you after our visits with your pleading eyes, "I'll be good Mom, I promise". Thankfully, the apartment manager had a change of heart and allowed you to come home. It's as if you knew, I have to be quieter and you were. You could jump so high and you made JR afraid of you after you bit him. I'm sure you had your reasons. All was forgiven! And you loved Paul so much when he would meet us outside to go on our walks. You would just talk to him...telling him your stories. Or maybe telling on Rusty that he had to eat first and then he would allow you to eat. Such a little sweetie and lover, you grieved right along with me when we lost Rusty. Then Ginger came to live with us and she returned the favor to you...watching out for you...telling on Princess when she got too rough with you. Thank you, my little Momma, for looking after Poppa when he was so sick. You knew how sick he was and would check on him often. Looking for him when he had to go away. You were all heart! The doctor said your body just gave out on you...and old age came calling to take you away. You were a good girl and I love you very much. Princess was looking for you last night. But, I think Ginger knew how sick you were. Daddy and I have cried and thought of you all day today. I was happy to hold you close to my heart while you crossed to Rainbow Bridge. Play with Rusty and wait for me my precious one. Momma |
