Coky came into our lives in the winter of 2000. He looked like a furry little gray ball when my dad brought him. I was sitting in the kitchen and I thought jokingly to myself, "Oh, Oh, here comes trouble." I love animals and especially dogs so I what I really meant was "I'm glad you are here!"
Little did I know what adventures would follow for me and the rest of the family. Now that he's gone, it seems that at the same time that he's not really gone, he feels so close to me, to us. He seems to be still here, giving us his sweet, innocent look and company. We have laughed a lot, played a lot, and had our hard and sad moments too but we wouldn't trade them for anything.
Cooky was such a special doggy. At times he seemed to act like a human. Sometimes I thought he was more human than people themselves. He used to sigh loudly when he was a little upset or angry and when he looked at you he used to be very expressive. His eyes showed amazement, contentment, or naughtiness. When I would tell him, “Coky is time for a bath”, he would his lift his ears and look suspicious but after having his bath, he would run around the living room and would make very funny postures in trying to dry his own face on the carpet, although he had already been at least partially dry. His favorite fruit was the apple. He used to like it more than any treat even.
Dear little Coky will always be in our hearts and our minds. I hope you enjoy seeing parts of his happy life with me and his extended family who include my mom, dad, sister, brothers and their wives, and my nephews and niece. We were so lucky to share our lives with our Mini Schnauzer! Here's to you dear sweet Coky. The most wonderful dog in the world!
