one of my loyal minions Obidiah aka fatman...nachos buddy...our dog we had for 10 years. Tonight is his last night with us.
Now 11 years old fatty is being put to sleep tomorow. He's in pain, he's had an ear infection that wont go away despite numerous visits to the vet. Hes got authritus and its getting worse in the cold weather. Hes sad and grumpy. I understand why. He seems to know that tonight is his last. Our first dog. He's being with my family through it all. Divorce. Run aways. Fights. Sneaking him food from the table. He was there when we chose nacho. Moving outs. Family deaths. Now its time for us to put his feelings first. His pain. His life. Loyal fatman thankyou for cuddling us when we were sad. Thank you for the laughs we had when you got your head stuck in a box. Thank you for being weird and awsome in your fuzzy strangeness. I love you. I wish i could take the pain for you. I cant. But sleep knowing that if I could I would. Rest in peace little man. You got your wings back. Youve earnt them ~Sleep forever in the stars~ oxo             |
