 Lion was the only cat in the kittery to follow me around and look intently at me as if to say, "Take me, I'm the one, take me!" So I did. Four years and five months later Lion's time came to walk over the Rainbow Bridge. It was so sudden and I had no real indications of anything being wrong. I'm not sure which is worst, a long sickness or a sudden death...I do believe they are equally devastating.
The one consolation I have is that he died quickly after climbing up into bed with me...I will always love him for that last show of strength and love.
Lion was the most intuitive, loving, social and gentle cat I've ever had...to say I will miss him is an understatement...I look forward to playing with him again in the meadows across the Rainbow Bridge. He loved to eat grass so I’m sure there will be plenty for him there. Lion, Pequeno and I miss you tremendously…you were my buddy, my shadow.
