In Memory of Shadow - May 10, 2010 |

 I lost my best friend yesterday. In the blink of an eye, she left me. I know she's at peace now but she will be missed more than words can say. She was my Shadow, following me everywhere and keeping me company through thick and thin. Shadow loved car rides, long walks, wading in the creek and back dancing in lush, green grass. It was always a joy to watch her face as she did these things, especially back dancing. First, she would lay down on her belly and rub her chin against the grass. Then, she would roll over and swing from side to side to get that excellent back rub/scratch that all dogs love. She always seemed to be smiling and made those passing by smile at her antics. Wading in the creek meant only venturing as far as the shallow end and plopping her butt down and dipping her head underwater. This was Shadow's version of swimming and she loved it! I miss you so much girlfriend! You will always hold a special place in my heart.
