Our Cat Raymond
Written by Sharron Rose
Out Cat Ray came to live with us four years ago when he was already 11.  I walked into a local cat rescue place, and was looking at the different cages when I hurt a loud Meow from the back of the front door.

His cage was behind the door, so he was being very loud so I would notice him.  He would not stop crying, so I took him home with me.  I wanted a younger cat, but knew that Ray needed our love.  Our other kitty we just had (named Cleopatra) had just been killed by a wild dog roaming the neighborhood.

He has been always a sweetheart, shy, and tenderhearted.  He loved my husband Denny more than anyone, and his favorite thing was to get the privilege to sit in dad's lap in dad's chair.  I think Mommy loved Ray (more than anyone loved Ray)  but nevertheless Ray still loved Dad the best, and Dad loved him.

Ray went to heaven tonight, falling to sleep on the couch between me and his Dad.  If we had to lose him, this was the best way for him to go.

God Bless,

Sharron Rose
