My heart is breaking as I write this. Three days ago I lost my precious Stormy. My little dog who fought so valiantly to live his life to the fullest. He loved me and his daddy so much and we tried so hard to keep him with us. He was going on 17. Stormy was a terrier mix. We were never sure of his ancestry. I got him from the animal shelter. He was not quite a year old and what a spunky beauty he was! Black with white trim on his chest and paws and a white spot on his head and tail and around his face. Silky beautiful curly hair. Curious and full of life -- involved in everything. Small in stature - barely 15 lbs.-- he had the heart of a lion -- he would take on anything and anybody -- no fear!! But so much love and joy in him!! In his later years, he became blind and his spirt was somewhat diminished but he never gave up. He was plagued with many illnesses, but he never gave up and each day he was my sunshine, my little love. I will never get over his passing. He has left a huge whole in my life that will never be filled. But I am comforted only by the fact that he is now with the Lord and is once again whole --- with the sunshine in his face, running through the fields, chasing butterflies, with that heart of the lion beating once again!!!             |
