Pink Pawprints on my heart |

The first time I laid eyes on you
I knew right from the start
that you were meant for me alone...
You put your paw print on my heart.
I received the call at work today from my son. The girl across the road accidentally hit our Ebeneezer. She called her father and they rushed him to their vet, cradling him in one of their towels for as long as they could. The vet said that there was nothing that they could do, so they called me. Zak and I went to the clinic and stayed with him until he was gone. He never regained consciousness, but lived for a little over three hours after the accident. Ebeneezer was not a very bright cat and he loved to sun himself in the road. He was loved very much and will be greatly missed.
Sheila, thanks for understanding the tears that I tried to hide and Pete, thank you for making sure I made it to my car. Ashley, thanks for holding him and comforting him while we weren't there.
