My very best friend!
Written by Izzy Lewis
We got up on May 22nd thinking it would be a normal day--I closed my home daycare because I was sick and Izzy cuddled with me all morning. Around noon, I noticed something was wrong. We rushed him to the vet and found out he had a blood clot and no movement in his back legs. He also had an underlying heart condition we didn't know he had. Our furry friend was 8 1/2. We couldn't really have prolonged his life without prolonging his suffer and at best would have given him a couple weeks. So we made a difficult decision. Izzy was fiesty to say the least. He loved to cuddle with us and be petted until he was finished. He would climb up on our laps and if we were reading, he would nudge the book out of the way until he got the attention he wanted. He wasn't just a furry friend, he was our baby. I know we will miss rolling over in the night to find him smushed up against us or hear him padding down the steps when we would return from being out or having him climb in the fridge when he wanted milk. My heart is broken..some may say oh it is was only a cat but the problem was he wasn't just a cat, he was my very best friend! See you in heaven some day, buddy! Love you and miss you!
