For JR our little 'bucket puppy'
Written by Ranger Walker Jr. (or as we called him JR)
I never would have imagined that 25 pounds of mischief would be able to steal my heart but he did. With his satellite ears to his nubby tail he was trouble looking for a place to happen. He constantly taunted and aggrivated his Uncle Duke til their relationship became a love-hate relationship. I never understood just how strong Pembroke Corgis could be until I had to pry Duke and JR apart. One minute he could make me so mad you'd want to wring his neck and then in an instant he would make me laugh with one of his antics. I learned quickly not to wear pjs outdoors when I took him out after he pulled my pj pants down in the backyard. Thank goodness I live in the country.

JR was born with a defective esophogus and would often get choked. There was no surgical cure for it and I had to actually force my fingers down his throat a couple of times so he would not choke to death. Well two weeks ago I came home and found him dead in his kennel. He was fine that morning, his old ornery self. My vet thinks that his esophogus may have collapsed. I miss my little buddy every hour of every day. We called him our bucket puppy because we kept him in a tub as a puppy.

Well JR, three days ago your cousin Tuffy passed away in a similar manner. I think God did not want you and B-Bear to be alone so you guys go have a ball on the Rainbow Bridge until your mammas and daddy can join you.

We love you and we miss you boys.
