With Fondest Memories of BJ |

We brought little BJ home as a puppy, the runt of the litter. When he was new to our family and still a peanut, he liked to hang out in the hood of Mom's hooded sweatshirt as she wore it and went about her business. He was a Momma's boy from the beginning, but we all loved him, and he loved us back. BJ had a girlfriend for about 8 years, a little dachshund called "Lady." They loved to chase each other around and around the couch. Lady went to doggy heaven last year. Maybe BJ and Lady have reunited and are chasing each other around at this very moment... We would giggle at BJ when he'd sprawl out on the floor or the grass with his back legs splayed out like a frog and drag himself around with his front legs. We called him "Froggy Doggy." Our little BJ could even be quite the intimidator - Once he ran over to a Rottweiler at the neighbors house to say "Hi" and play, but the Rott was so scared of our ferocious BJ that he ran away. Our BJ loved sitting at the front of the pontoon or boat and leading the way with his nose. He hated fireworks and loved free food. He was particulary fond of his little friend Benjamin, the toddler who would so willingly share his food with BJ. He loved to sleep in Dani's bed at night. In the winter he liked to frolic in the snow and plow through it nose first. He never snapped at anyone or showed any aggression. He was the definition of 'sweet.' Our BJ passed peacefully and quietly, laying in Mom's arms and gazing up at her. He'll be remembered as our little white fluffball, always happy to see us, never slow to show love. We'll miss you, BJ.
