About three years ago we rescued a kitten abandoned. Here is her story.
In late fall of '05 My husband and I met some friends at a NY campground. When we arrived they said something was darting in the bushes all around them. The night went on and it darted right in front of me at one point. Then when i was standing by the fire there was this little black kitten wrapping around my ankle with such love and such a loud purr. But you could move or try and pet her or she would run away frightened. We had a black lab puppy with us so we put a dish of food aside for her.... then when it was time to go we grabbed her and put her in the crate (winter would have killed her) we had for the dog. Not 5 minutes into our ride home she was purring loudly. She was soooo happy in our house, and full of such personality. and just a HUGE lovebug!!!! she would wrap her arms around my ankle and hug it. As you can see she was a tiny cat but huge paws and a huge heart! She knew her name well as we chose it because she was into everythng at first and got our two older cats playing again. She missed the outdoors though and cried so much for it that we let her out this summer and she came in and out and was happy... well it appears God wanted her back because this past weekend she suffered some facial trauma. Her lower jaw was badly broken. We took her to the Vet and at first he was very hopeful. Until the xray revealed the break was to severe to repair. It is today that i had to make the decision to lay her to rest and end her extreme pain from this horrific injury. I just pray that i can meet up with her agian one day!Her buddy Duke(the black lab will miss her dearly, they grew up together and were pals)Thank you for all the smiles and laughs and most of all your sweet hugs. We will all Miss you dearly Kaos. Please forgive me... i should have protected you better. I love you always and forever, Love Mommy GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU
