 Thirteen years ago my sister, as part of her job rescued a 3 month old black Lab/Alsation cross who had been badly abused and asked me to look after him for a week whilst they found him a place at a rescue shelter. However, he chose to stay with me instead and after 13 brilliant, loving and fun packed years I lost my soul mate to cancer on Feb 27th 2008. I could never replace him and would never try but I will venture back to that shelter he nearly went to and see if there is another needy soul in need of a good home. So Barney, I shall miss our cuddles, our fishing trips, cooking your favourite sausages, your companionship and the thousand and one other things that made my life fun.
