Our beautiful Pippin and his sister Meery came into our lives in a mystical encounter. I had just returned from the pilgrimage to my father's grave in Springfield Illinois. It was late September 2005, I was taking my morning stroll before embarking to work when I noticed peripherally in the bushes rustling. I imagined it was probably a squirrel yet something told me to investigate. It was two precious tabby kittens that were alone, they could not have been more than 3-4 weeks old. They both ran to me innocently mewing as I don't know how long they had been there or eaten, however, they recognized me it seemed as their mother or someone caring. God blessed me with these two precious beings that were not even weaned yet. Our beloved Pippin seemed to develop breathing problems about 2 weeks ago. We brought him to the vet and sadly we were told that he is terminal. We had to euthanize our precious family member on December 2. Pippin and I said goodbye to each other for the preceding two days. His beautiful eyes said it is time for me to go. I cannot wait to see you precious Pippin, you are there with my father and my other relatives and animals waiting for the reunion when my journey is done. Meery is still here with us, the other cats and she are searching and wondering where their friend and companion is. Pippin's ashes will be spread over the beautiful Monterey Bay, California area.
