 For Lilo-girlOur home is so empty without you here We were still enjoying another puppy year We think of you fondly and have no regrets Unconditional love returned--we will never forget We loved and cared for you the best way that we could You were the closest we had to parenthood God gave us a special pet to nurture and teach One day we’ll be ready to walk along the beach A lonely walk without you, although we must try The hardest thing ever was saying goodbye Our ‘big’ little angel sent from up above You filled our childless home with abounding love And so we are thankful for the last 3 years Joyful memories of you will hold back our tears For now we stay close and let time heal a while As we pray for a ‘miracle’ to bring back our smiles One day we’ll be a family and thoughts of you will never part Lilo, you left your paw prints—forever on our hearts! ~LC Feb’ 08             |
